What most people don’t know about me is that I’m writing a book about my sister, Cherene, who boarded a ferry boat in Victoria, BC on March 23, 2003 and never got off. When I turned 33, the same age she was when she disappeared without a trace from my life, the timing just felt right to begin writing about her.
You won’t find details or excerpts here about the long, gut-wrenching journey I’m on to get to know my sister for the first time in my life, but the poetry and little stories that flow out of me as I write about her.
This blog is a home for the beautiful, and let’s be honest, not-so-beautiful realistic moments of life that happen while I’m on this writing journey.
